An automated system and method which monitors the cash flow of a merchant account and maintains a minimum balance for each merchant account based upon allowable delays. See Figure 1. The system includes a transaction processor (10) in communication with the merchant credit card processor (12), a merchant database and a plurality of credit card issuers (28, 30, 32, 34). The transaction processor facilitates the flow of credit card transaction data by withholding a fraction of the net transactional amount based on transactional parameters to maintain a minimum merchant account balance.

Cette invention se rapporte à un système et à un procédé automatisés qui surveillent le flux de liquidités (cash flow) d'un compte de commerçant et maintiennent un solde minimum pour chaque compte de commerçant sur la base de délais autorisés (voir figure). Ce système utilise un processeur de transactions (10) en communication avec un processeur de carte de crédit de commerçant (12), une base de données de commerçant et plusieurs organismes émetteurs de cartes de crédit (28, 30, 32, 34). Le processeur de transactions facilite le flux des données de transactions de cartes de crédit en retenant une fraction de la somme transactionnelle nette sur la base de paramètres transactionnels, en vue d'assurer au compte du commerçant le maintien d'un solde minimum.
