This invention is a transfer device usable in a system for intraluminal treatment of a selected site in a body of a patient in which the transfer device has an integral pump (66) for pressurizing, for circulating fluid through a fluid path defined by the transfer device and associated catheter. A removable fluid cartridge (50) is provided including a reservoir (52) from which fluid is drawn by the pump (66) and into which fluid is returned after being circulated through the fluid path. The pump (66) may be a peristaltic pump (66) and the fluid cartridge (50) may include an elongated fluid pick-up having an inlet through which fluid is introduced into the transfer device. The fluid pick-up is sized in length so that the inlet is always submerged in the fluid regardless of the orientation of the transfer device. A removable treatment cartridge (70) having a lumen forming part of the fluid path may also be provided, and a storage sleeve for the treatment cartridge (70) may be of a radiation-blocking material, such as quartz.
L'invention concerne un dispositif de transfert qui peut être utilisé dans un système destiné au traitement intraluminal d'un site choisi dans le corps d'un patient. Le dispositif de transfert comprend une pompe (66) intégrée pour pressuriser et faire circuler un fluide à travers un circuit de soluté délimité par le dispositif de transfert et un cathéter associé. Une cartouche (50) de fluide remplaçable inclut un réservoir (52) duquel le fluide est pompé par la pompe (66) et dans lequel le fluide est réinjecté après avoir circulé dans le circuit de soluté.
