An automated system for harvesting or implanting follicular units, including a moveable arm; a harvesting and/or implantation tool mounted on the moveable arm; one or more cameras mounted on the moveable arm; a processor configured to receive and process images acquired by the one or more cameras; and a controller operatively associated with the processor and configured to position the moveable arm based, at least in part, on processed images acquired by the one or more cameras, wherein the moveable arm is positionable such that the tool may be positioned at a desired orientation relative to an adjacent body surface.
Système automatisé d~extraction ou d~implantation d~unités folliculaires, comportant : un bras mobile ; un instrument d~extraction et/ou d~implantation monté sur le bras mobile ; une ou une pluralité de caméras montées sur le bras mobile ; un circuit de traitement configuré pour recevoir et traiter des images acquises par la ou la pluralité de caméras ; et un module de commande associé de façon fonctionnelle au circuit de traitement et configuré pour positionner le bras mobile en fonction, au moins en partie, d~images traitées acquises par la ou la pluralité de caméras. Le système est caractérisé en ce que le bras mobile peut être positionné de façon à placer l~instrument selon une orientation souhaitée par rapport à une surface corporelle adjacente.
