AUTOMATED TIRE MEASUREMENT TECHNIQUES ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An improvement in a tire manufacturing system including means for testing 140 by different combinations of testing algorithms and tire sensors 18a and 18b. An operator selects the combinations best suited to test the tire 119 according to the user's specifications. The tire 119 is rotated and measured for lateral runout of both sidewalls. The resulting data is converted to digital form and analyzed according to the selected com- binations of sensors 18a and 18b and testing algorithms.
