A small, mobile, computerized device, used for retrieving, recording, and storing date, time, and mileage information directly from a vehicle. The general purpose of this device is to simplify tracking of the business and personal use of the vehicle. This device will obtain information from the vehicle and the user that can later be transferred to a business or home computer. The information transferred to the computer will then be available for use by existing software such as Excel, QuickBooks, Simply Accounting, and the like. Upon starting the vehicle, the device will continuously sound a chime, bell, or buzzer to alert the user to enter the required information on the device. This alerting sound will alleviate the driver from forgetting to use the device. The only required inputs would be "personal" or "business" as a basic description of the occupant's trip. This device will also allow the user to input numerous amounts of numerical data fields, defined by the user. For example: the user can input his or her employee number, a job or project number relating to the purpose of the trip etc. This device is flexible in application, from small business to large corporations.
