Automatic Brake Bleed system Abstract A brake system providing a self-bleeding and self-cleaning operation as a function of selective positioning of the transmission control of the vehicle. The brake, in the illustrated embodiment, is a spring-applied, hydraulically released brake permitting the piston to force hydraulic fluid and accumulated air from an upper portion of the brake pressure chamber outwardly through a bleed line in which a flow restrictor and a check valve are provided. A brake fluid inlet supply line communicates with a lower portion of the pressure chamber so as to permit flushing of debris from the lower portion of the pressure chamber concurrently with the self-bleeding operation.
