Il comporte: un boîtier fixe monté sur la porte (ou le châssis) et supportant un bras pivotant soumis à l'action d'un élément; une glissière fixe montée sur le châssis; un élément de liaision entre le bras pivotant et la glissière. La liaison entre le bras pivotant et la glissière est obtenue au moyen d'une tige coulissante, escamotable à l'intérieur du bras, ladite tige pouvant être bloquée automatiquement lorsqu'elle dépasse dudit bras d'une longueur déterminée correspondant à un degré donné d'ouverture de la porte.
