Automatically analysing an evoked neural response. The method comprises: applying electrical stimulation to a target neural region at incrementally greater current levels beginning with an initial current level that is as close as possible to a typical threshold-NRT level; recording an NRT measurement of an auditory signal which generated by the target neural region in response to the stimulation; and utilizing a machine-learned expert system to predict whether the NRT measurement contains a neural response based on a plurality of features extracted from the auditory signal.
La présente convention concerne l'analyse automatique d'une réponse neuronale évoquée. Cette technique consiste: à appliquer une stimulation électrique à une région neuronale cible à des niveaux de courant de plus en plus élevés par incréments commençant par un niveau de courant initial qui est aussi proche que possible des niveaux de seuil de réponse neuronale (NRT) habituels, à enregistrer une mesure de seuil NRT d'un signal auditif généré par la région neuronale cible en réponse à cette stimulation et, à utiliser un système expert d'apprentissage par machine pour prévoir si la mesure de NRT contient une réponse neuronale fondée sur une pluralité de caractéristiques extraites du signal auditif.
