Abstract of the Disclosure An automatic dialer accessory to be used in conjunction with a conventional telephone in which the automatic dialling function can be terminated by depression of the hook switch during generation of a telephone number sequence, so that it is not necessary to await completion of generation of a requested incorrect number to request the correct number. During generation of a number sequence a capacitor is automatically connected in series between the tip and ring lines to reduce annoying acoustic clicking noises in the receiver.
