An automatic door and method of operating the same. The door includes a first processor which may be located proximate a leading movable edge of the door and a second processor which is remotely located from the first processor. The first and second processors are operably coupled with a bus configured to transmit digital signals therebetween. One or more input devices may be coupled with the first processor to indicate the status of an operational parameter of the door. Operational parameters are transmitted to the second processor, which controls a drive operably coupled with the door to control the position thereof in response to suchoperational parameters. The second processor is configured such that, upon breakdown of communication between the first and second processors, the second processor causes the door to enter into a predetermined status.

L'invention concerne une porte automatique et un proc~d~ d'exploitation de ladite porte. Cette porte comprend un premier processeur pouvant Útre dispos~ ~ proximit~ d'un bord mobile avant de la porte, et un deuxi­me processeur pouvant Útre dispos~ ~ distance dudit premier processeur. Les premier et deuxi­me processeurs sont coupl~s de mani­re fonctionnelle ~ un bus configur~ pour transmettre des signaux num~riques entre lesdits processeurs. Au moins un dispositif d'entr~e peut Útre coupl~ au premier processeur pour indiquer l'~tat d'un param­tre op~rationnel de la porte. Des param­tres op~rationnels sont transmis au deuxi­me processeur qui commande un entra¹nement coupl~ de mani­re fonctionnelle ~ la porte, de sorte ~ commander la position de la porte en r~ponse auxdits param­tres op~rationnels. Le deuxi­me processeur est configur~ de sorte que, lors d'une panne de communication entre le premier et le deuxi­me processeur, le deuxi­me processeur fait entrer la porte dans un ~tat pr~d~termin~.
