ABSTRACT OF DISCLOSURE An automatic drainage system for a reservoir such as a sink, laundry tub or the like includes an improved liquid level sensing system for controlling a pump, which system incorporates a time delay feature. The system also includes a liquid trap feature, both of which features result in improved system performance elimination of "hunting" and preventing entry of air into the pump inlet.
