A flight control system for a helicopter having a main rotor and a tail rotor is provided. The flight control system includes an automatic rotor speed control being configured to transition the main rotor and the tail rotor between a high speed and a low speed based upon a plurality of received information without requiring any pilot action, the plurality of received information comprising height above ground level, knot indicated air speed, outside air temperature, barometric altitude, pressure altitude, density altitude, and an engine operational status.

L'invention concerne un système de commande de vol pour un hélicoptère doté d'un rotor principal et d'un rotor arrière. Le système de commande de vol comprend une commande de vitesse de rotor automatique configurée pour assurer la transition du rotor principal et du rotor arrière entre une vitesse élevée et une vitesse faible sur la base d'une pluralité d'informations reçues sans nécessiter aucune action du pilote, la pluralité d'informations reçues comprenant la hauteur par rapport au niveau du sol, la vitesse aérienne indiquée en nAEuds, la température de l'air extérieur, l'altitude barométrique, l'altitude-pression, l'altitude-densité, et un état fonctionnel du moteur.
