The system guarantees a protection against voluntary crashes resulting from a malicious act by a person on board or from an error of trajectory, comprising an Overflight Area Protection System OAPS (54), operating in the manner of a Terrain Awareness and Warning System TAWS (51), but intervening at the flight control level (12) to impose an avoidance trajectory on the aircraft (83) when the need is recognised. Said Overflight Area Protection System OAPS (54) uses a database (60), including information on prohibited zones and a positioning system (106, 306) for the aircraft (83). The system is completed with a Terrain Awareness and Warning System TAWS (51) and a Flight Envelope Protection System FELPS (53), permitting the production of a very comprehensive flight protection system.

Ce système assure une protection autonome d'un aéronef contre les crashs volontaires résultant d'un acte de malveillance d'une personne embarquée à bord ou d'une erreur de trajectoire. Il comporte un équipement anti- pénétration en zone interdite OAPS (54) opérant à la manière d'un équipement anticollision terrain TAWS (51) mais intervenant au niveau des commandes de vol (12) pour imposer à l'aéronef (83) une trajectoire d'évitement lorsque le besoin s'en fait sentir. Cet équipement anti-pénétration en zone interdite OAPS (54) utilise une base de données (60) renfermant des informations sur les zones interdites et un système de positionnement (106, 306) de l'aéronef (83). Complété par un équipement anticollision terrain TAWS (51) et un équipement de protection des limites du domaine de vol FELPS (53), il permet de réaliser un système très complet de protection du vol.
