Abstract of the Disclosure An automatic frequency control circuit comprising two switching transistors with the emitter-collector paths thereof connected in series with each other between a power source and a reference voltage source, a horizontal synchro- nizing signal being commonly coupled to the bases of the switching transistors, an integrating circuit having an input terminal receiving a horizontal pulse signal, a smooth- ing circuit having an input from a terminal d.c. coupled to the emitter-collector juncture between said two switching transistors and receiving the output of the interrupting cir- cuit via a capacitative coupling, and a voltage controlled oscillator to produce a frequency output in accordance with a d.c. output voltage of the smoothing circuit, an output derived from said oscillator being fed back to the input terminal of said integrating circuit.
