Disclosed is a circuit for providing an appropriate amount of on-hook loss in a digital loop carrier transmission system serving telephone customers. The resistance of the customer loop is measured while the customer is off-hook and an amount of loss is added based on that resistance during the off-hook interval. Apredetermined constant loss is then added to the appropriate off-hook loss when the equipment returns to on-hook status.

L'invention est un circuit servant à établir une perte de décrochage appropriée dans un système de transmission multiplex numérique à boucle desservant les abonnés du téléphone. La résistance de la bouche de l'abonné est mesurée quand le téléphone de l'abonné est décroché et une perte est ajoutée selon la résistance mesurée durant l'intervalle de décrochage.
