ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An automatic observation system for observing objects such as microorganisms contained in a liquid supplied from a container. A sample of the water is fixed between two glass plates, one of which is movable relative to the other by a plunger. A condenser lens is also carried by the plunger. Light from a continuous-output illuminating source is applied trough the condenser lens via an optical fiber.
