A method and a system for forwarding Ethernet packets by an Ethernet bridge (EBl) in an Ethernet Layer 2 VPN network; said method being characterized in that it comprises the steps of : by the L2VPN module (VxI) of the ingress LER (ML1), notifying the first Ethernet bridge (EB1) about the primary internal port (4) associated to the receiving MAC-address (MACb) and to the given VLAN identification; by the L2VPN module (VxI) of the ingress LER (ML1), notifying the first Ethernet bridge (EB1) about the backup internal port (5) directly associated to the backup MPLS port (5m) which is acting as a backup MPLS port in an event of failure of the primary MPLS port (4m); by the first Ethernet bridge (EB1), adding to the internal filtering database the backup internal port (5) to be used in the event of failure of the primary MPLS port (4m) so as to create a combined filtering database; by the ingress MPLS LER (ML1), notifying the first Ethernet bridge (EB1) about MPLS ports status; by the at least one transmitting CE device (CEa), transmitting Ethernet packets of a given VLAN identification to the receiving MAC-address (MACb) of the at least one receiving CE device (CEb); by the first Ethernet bridge (EB1), before forwarding the transmitted Ethernet packets, checking, when, in the combined filtering database, the receiving MAC-address (MACb) of the given VLAN is associated to a backup ingress internal port (5), if the corresponding primary MPLS port (4m) directly associated to said primary ingress internal port (4) is failed or not; if the corresponding primary MPLS port (4m) is failed, forwarding Ethernet packets to the backup egress port (5) of the receiving MAC-address (MACb) having the given VLAN identification.
L'invention concerne un procédé et un système permettant de transférer des paquets Ethernet par un pont Ethernet (EB1) dans un réseau 2 VPN à couche Ethernet, ledit procédé étant caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend les phases consistant à : par le module L2VPN (VxI) du LER d'entrée (ML1), notifier le premier pont Ethernet (EB1) à propos du port interne primaire (4) associé à l'adresse MAC de réception (MACb) et à l'identification VLAN donnée; par le module L2VPN (VxI) du LER d'entrée (ML1), notifier le premier pont Ethernet (EB1) à propos du port interne de secours (5) directement associé au port MPLS de secours (5m) servant de port MPLS de secours en cas de panne du port MPLS primaire (4m); par le premier pont Ethernet (EB1), ajouter à la base de données filtrante interne le port interne de secours (5) à utiliser en cas de panne du port MPLS primaire (4m) de façon à créer une base de données filtrante combinée; par le LER MPLS d'entrée (ML1), notifier le premier pont Ethernet (EB1) à propos du statut de port MPLS; par ledit ou lesdits dispositifs CE de transmission (CEa), transmettre des paquets Ethernet d'une identification VLAN donnée à l'adresse MAC de réception (MACb) dudit ou desdits dispositifs CE de réception (CEb); par le premier pont Ethernet (EB1), avant de transférer les paquets Ethernet transmis, contrôler, lorsque, dans la base de données filtrante combinée, l'adresse MAC de réception (MACb) du VLAN donné est associée à un port interne d'entrée de secours (5), si le port MPLS primaire correspondant (4m) directement associé audit port interne d'entrée primaire (4) est tombé en panne ou non; si le port MPLS primaire correspondant (4m) est tombé en panne, transférer les paquets Ethernet au port de sortie de secours (5) de l'adresse MAC de réception (MACb) possédant le VLAN donné.
