ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention provides an automatic position control apparatus for a ground working vehicle equipped with a liftable working implement. The control apparatus is adapted to auto- matically control lifting and lowering of the implement so that the deviation of the drag value of the implement actually detect- ed by a drag detector from the drag value preset by a drag setting unit is maintained within a permissible range preset by a sensitivity setting unit. The control apparatus also includes a detector for detecting when the drag deviation is decreasing. The detector is arranged to inhibit raising of the working implement, which would normally occur when the drag deviation is above the maximum permissible value, when the drag deviation is decreasing towards the permissible range.
