An intelligent jump page Web site linked to a direct marketing prospect database receives universal resource locators or other codes from Web users that are supplied to the Web users via direct marketing materials such as printed matter, e-mail, etc. The intelligent jump page Web site uses the linked direct marketing prospect database to obtain and/or generate intelligently targeted response Web pages associated with the particular responding consumer and/or direct marketing campaign. Customization is developed from information held in the prospect database which is linked to the Web site. The Web site can be used to capture responder information including e-mail address, orders and messages. The responder can "jump" from the Web site to another Web site (e.g., the marketer's main Web site).
