Abstract of the Disclosure (Fig. 1) A system includes a switch unit 100 for performing switching between lines connecting video conference terminals and video conference peripheral devices, a switching controller 110 for controlling the switching performed by the switch unit 100, and a subscriber file 120 for registering switch connection patterns including connection patterns between video conference peripheral devices corresponding to the video conference terminals. The connection patterns are read out from the subscriber data file 120, and switch connection requests are issued in accordance with the readout connection patterns. Switch connection control is performed in accordance with the issued switch connection requests. In this switch connection control, switches corresponding to the connection patterns between the video conference peripheral devices read out from the subscriber data file 120 are connected at the same time the video conference terminals are connected.
