The disclosed embodiments of the invention include simplified apparatus and method for testing both the conductivity and insulation integrity of such cable. A programmable logic controller including routines for controlling the test procedure organizes and regiments both the testing apparatus and the test procedures to ensure rapid and efficient electrical compliance with the test standards and provides maximum personnel safety.
