The present automatic update mechanism provides a method for periodically checking for updates to support a trusted environment. During the periodic check, an indication from an update service is received if there is a recommended update. Upon receiving the indication, a new revocation list is downloaded from the update service and saved as a pending revocation list. The pending revocation list is then available for on-demand update when protected content requests a higher level of protection on a computing device than the protection provided by a current level of protection on the computing device.
Le présent mécanisme de mise à jour automatique utilise un procédé de vérification périodique des mises à jour pour assister un environnement de confidentialité. Lors d'une vérification périodique, et si une mise à jour est recommandée, un service de mise à jour fournit une indication, au reçu de laquelle une nouvelle liste de révocation est téléchargée depuis le service de mise à jour et sauvegardée en tant que liste de révocations en attente, disponible pour des mises à jour sur demande, lorsque les contenus protégés demandent pour un ordinateur un plus haut niveau de protection que son niveau de protection actuel.
