A portable automatic dishwasher detergent dispensing device comprises a body (3) enclosing a detergent (2). The amount of detergent (2) is sufficient for a plurality of wash cycles. The body (3) has an inlet aperture (5) to allow wash liquor to contact the detergent (2) and an outlet aperture (6) to allow the detergent loaded wash liquor to exit the body (3). The device (1) has means (12) to close the one or both (5, 6) of the apertures at or before the start of the dishwasher rinse cycle.

La quantité de détergent (2) est suffisante pour plusieurs cycles de lavage.
