The web page generator of the present invention provides for automatic web page creation of an organizational directory for use in an Internet and Intra-net environment. The web page directory is created from data stored in the directory application component of the web page generator and, after being placed on a web server, allows any individual who has network access to the web server offering the web page to view the directory information in a web page format. In another aspect of the present invention, the web page generator generates the directory web pages dynamically on an as requested basis. In another aspect of the present invention, the web page generator also provides for an interface to a Private Branch Exchange (PBX) telephone switch for automatic access to PBX functions through the web page automatically generated in accordance with the principles of the invention.

Le générateur de pages Web de la présente invention permet de créer automatiquement les pages Web d'un répertoire organisationnel utilisé dans un environnement Internet et intranet. Ce répertoire est créé à partir de données stockées dans la composante de création de répertoires du générateur de pages Web et, après avoir été placé sur un serveur Web, permet à quiconque ayant accès, par l'intermédiaire d'un réseau, au serveur Web qui offre la page Web de visualiser l'information contenue dans le répertoire en format de page Web. Dans une deuxième concrétisation de la présente invention, le générateur de pages Web produit les pages Web dynamiquement sur demande. Dans une troisième concrétisation, le générateur utilise une interface avec un autocommutateur privé pour avoir accès automatiquement aux fonctions de ce dernier par l'intermédiaire de la page Web créée automatiquement selon le principe de l'invention.
