TITLE AN AUTOMATIC WRAPPING MACHINE COMPRISING A TENSIONING AND FASTENING DEVICE INVENTOR Dieter ZOPPA ABSTRACT A novel automatic wrapping machine is disclosed including unique guide means for a wrapping band to be unreeled from a supply, driving means for the wrapping band, tensioning means for tensioning the wrapping band against the direction of driving, two holding plungers for each holding an end of the wrapping band in a wrapping loop in an overlapping area and in the vicinity of a fasterning device, at least one electrode plunger which is movable perpendicular to the wrapping band lying between the holding plungers, driving means for moving the holding plungers and the electrode plungers, a movable plate with a counter electrode beneath the electrode plunger, characterized in that the movable plate with the counter electrode is movable in a sledge-like manner in the plane of the overlapping region of the wrapping band.
