An automatically sealing cup composed generally of a cup body, a lid sealingly and releasably connected with the cup body, and an automatic sealing feature that includes, generally, a flexible tube communicating with the interior space of the cup body, an aperture in the lid through which the flexible tube sealingly passes, a pivotable handle associated with the lid wherein the position of the handle determines pinching or unpinching of the tube, and, consequently, sealed and open states, respectively, of the automatically sealing cup, and a biasing member associated with the lid which automatically biases the handle to provide the sealed state. To switch the automatically sealing cup to the open state in which liquid may be extracted therefrom through the tube, a user must continuously apply pressure to the handle, upon the cessation of which the automatically sealing cup automatically reverts to the sealed state.
Gobelet à étanchéité automatique composé généralement d'un corps, d'un couvercle qui s'y raccorde de façon étanche et non permanente, et d'un dispositif d'étanchéité automatique qui comprend généralement un tube flexible communiquant avec l'espace intérieur du corps du gobelet et traversant de façon étanche une ouverture du couvercle, une poignée pivotante associée au couvercle où la position de la poignée détermine le pincement ou le non pincement du tube et, par conséquent, les états de fermeture étanche ou d'ouverture, respectivement, du gobelet à étanchéité automatique, et un élément de compression associé au couvercle qui comprime automatiquement la poignée pour fermer le gobelet de façon étanche. Pour faire passer le gobelet à l'état d'ouverture dans lequel le liquide peut être retiré par le tube, un usager doit continuellement exercer de la pression sur la poignée; si la pression est relâchée, le gobelet retourne automatiquement à l'état de fermeture étanche.
