A motor vehicle positioning aid device for a motor vehicle having a license plate support secured to the vehicle at its front or rear end, to which support a license plate may be releasably secured. The device comprises a support panel of a size and shape so as to permit its positioning adjacent the license plate to enable securing of the panel to the license plate support in operative position with the panel adjacent the license plate. An elongated post is securable to the panel. The post is of a length so as to be visible by a driver of the vehicle when the device is in operative position.
