The purpose of the invention is an automobile wheel, with a composite rim and metallic disk attached by a peripheral assembly edge (6) located on the disk (3) and inserted into the rim (2), as well as the process to manufacture such a wheel, which involves manufacture of the metal disk (3), attachment of the peripheral assembly edge (3) in a mould, and a third stage where the rim (2) is overmoulded on the said assembly edge (6).
