Provided is an automotive rear vehicle body structure which increases the amount of energy that can be absorbed, improves the safety of the vehicle occupant and protects a fuel tank in a reliable manner at the time of a rear end collision while allowing a spare tire to be placed within a cabin. In an automotive rear vehicle body structure having a H-type torsion beam wheel suspension system (12) pivotally supported by side sill extensions (2a, 3a) on either side of the vehicle body, the wheel suspension system including a pair of trailing arms (13, 14) and a torsion beam (15) connecting intermediate parts of the trailing arms with each other, a pair of rear side frames (6, 7) extend rearwardly from side sills (2, 3), and a spare tire pan (10) is defined by downwardly bulging a part of a rear floor panel (11) located between the rear side frames (6, 7). A pair of rear center frames (21, 22) extending in a fore-and-aft direction are located behind the torsion beam (15) and attached to the lower surface of a bottom wall (10a) of the spare tire pan (10).

L'invention concerne une structure de corps arrière d'une automobile pouvant recevoir un pneu de secours dans le compartiment, améliorer la sécurité des passagers par augmentation d'une quantité d'absorption d'énergie d'impact au moment d'une collision et protéger un réservoir de carburant de façon sûre. La structure du corps d'une automobile où un faux cadre (12) destiné à supporter les roues arrière droite et gauche est agencé dans l'arrière des longerons droit et gauche (3, 2), et comprend : une paire de cadres latéraux arrière droit et gauche (6, 7), s'étendant dans l'arrière du corps à partir des deux longerons latéraux (3, 2), un panneau de plancher arrière (11) dans lequel un logement de roue de secours (10) est formé pour se projeter vers le bas entre les deux cadres latéraux arrières (7, 6), et au moins un cadre central arrière (21, 22) s'étendant dans la direction avant et arrière le long de la paroi inférieure du logement de roue de secours (10), le cadre central arrière (21, 22) étant agencé pour être sensiblement à niveau avec l'élément de faux cadre (12) au niveau de l'arrière de l'élément de faux cadre (12).
