LD 9575 AUTOMOTIVE REPLACEABLE LAMP UNIT WITH ALIGNMENT AND CONNECTION MEANS OF ITS LIGHT SOURCE ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Disclosed is an automotive replaceable lamp unit comprising an electrical insulative holder, a light source comprising a glass envelope having spatially disposed therein a major and a minor filament, a platform assembly for aligning the light source relative to the electrical insulative holder and means for providing simple but effective means for connecting the light source to an electrical connector of an automobile in which the replaceable lamp unit may be housed. The platform assembly is comprised of a strap assembly secured to the pinch portion of the light source, a cup-like disk, and a sleeve portion secured to the inner confines of the electrically insulative holder and having tabs extending therefrom which are attached of the cup-like disk. The means for providing the effective electrical connection of the light source is primarily provided by a one-piece contact.
