-2- ABSTRACT It is well known that in any vehicle, such as a car or motorcycle, the lights that indicate a braking action to others who may be following, are energized by some mechanism linked to the brake pedal. In this invention, the AUTOMOTIVE SAFETY SIGNAL is used to energize a set of lamps at the rear and front of the vehicle when- ever the vehicle is caused to decelerate. This will occur before the application of the brakes and the consequent turning on of the brake lights. As a result, following traffic will have an earlier indication of the driver's intentions and thus be better prepared to act accordingly. The green light in front will indicate a slow down action to the street cross walkers.
