An automotive seat including a seat cushion and a seat back (18). The seat back pivots relative to the seat cushion for movement between a seating position and a folded position. A headrest (24) is mounted to the seat back (18) and is moveable between a deployed position and a retracted position. The seat assembly is characterized by a control mechanism (26) mounted between the seat back and the headrest for automatically moving the headrest between the deployed and retracted positions in response to the pivotal movement of the seat back between the seating and folded positions. The subject invention is also characterized by a cavity (28) formed within the seat back for selectively housing the headrest. The control mechanism (26) moves the headrest between the deployed position with the headrest disposed completely outside the cavity and the retracted position with the headrest disposed within the cavity.
Cette invention se rapporte à un siège d'automobile comprenant un coussin de siège et un dossier (18). Le dossier pivote par rapport au coussin de siège, de façon à se déplacer entre une position offrant une place assise et une position repliée. Un appui-tête (24) est monté sur le dossier (18) et peut se déplacer entre une position déployée et une position escamotée. Ce système de siège se caractérise par un mécanisme de commande (26) monté entre le dossier et l'appui-tête et servant à déplacer automatiquement l'appui-tête entre la position déployée et la position escamotée, en réponse au mouvement pivotant du dossier entre la position offrant une place assise et la position repliée.
