A body side molding for automobiles. The molding has a rigid base (58) and a cover (60) which is relatively flexible with respect to the base. Covers of disclosed embodiments are of polyvinyl chloride, injection-molded and having end members formed with the cover during a single molding step. The base and cover snap together, the cover having retainers (70) on its re- verse face, and the base having retainers (62) for engaging the retainers of the cover on its obverse face. The reverse face of the base is secured to a vehicle using double-sided adhesive tape (162).
