Abstract Auxiliary equipment for the thermostatic valve (8) of a radiator comprises a sensor (15) This is associated with a heating resistor (18). The latter is provided with heating energy by a solar cell (9) on which sun rays can impinge. In particular, the solar cell is applied to the inside of a window pane by means of a self-adhesive layer. The heating resistor (18) and solar cell (9) may also form a unit that can be built in subsequently. In this way, hunting of the room temperature is avoided when there is some light. Fig. 1
