AUXILIARY EXTENDED REACH SYSTEM FOR MASTER-SLAVE MANIPULATOR ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: An improved remote control master-slave manipulator of the type by which an operator working on one size of a protective barrier wall may perform work on the opposite side of that wall. It has means for translating linear motion into rotary motion for transfer through the barrier wall and retranslation into linear motion. The improved manipulator is characterized by an auxiliary power assist system for extending the slave arm independently of the master arm or simultaneously with manual extension of the slave arm. This application is a division of application Serial No. 327,586 , filed May 15, 1979.
