Based on the discovery that nucleolin is a specific receptor to endostatin, in the invention a kit is provided. The kit is used for detecting and screening the cancerous types and individuals that are adapted to be treated by using endostatin and other angiogenesis inhibitors. Specially, the detection kit can include the antibody to nucleolin and DNA or RNA combined with coding nucleic acids of nucleolin. In the invention, a screening method for angiogenesis inhibitors is provided, especially those similar inhibitors to endostatin. Furthermore, methods for specifically inhibiting growth of endothelial cells and generation of tumor blood vessels are provided by coupling cytotoxin such as tumor necrosis factor .alpha. with the antibody to nuleolin.
L~invention a pour objet un kit pour la détection et le criblage des types et individus cancéreux pouvant être traités à l~endostatine ou d~autres inhibiteurs de l~angiogenèse, sur la base de la découverte que la nucléoline est un récepteur spécifique de l~endostatine. Plus spécialement, le kit de détection peut comprendre l~anticorps anti-nucléoline et de l~ADN ou ARN combiné à des acides nucléiques codants pour la nucléoline. L~invention fournit également un procédé de criblage des inhibiteurs de l~angiogenèse, notamment de ceux d~entre eux qui présentent des ressemblances avec l~endostatine. De plus, l~association d~une cytotoxine telle que le facteur onconécrosant .alpha. et de l~anticorps anti-nucléoline permet des procédés d~inhibition spécifique de la croissance des cellules endothéliales et de la production de vaisseaux sanguins tumoraux.
