A tubular member (2) having an inner hole (2) is formed of a resin material. A thin plate material is spirally shaped along the circumferential direction of the tubular member (2) to construct a reinforcing member (3). The reinforcing member (3) is embedded in a circumferential wall (2a) of the tubular member (2). The tubular member (2) and the reinforcing member (3) are formed in a curved shape corresponding to a throat section (100). The tubular member (2) and the reinforcing member (3) are then inserted into the throat section (100) from a mouth cavity (102) and held in place. A medical instrument is guided to an esophagus (103) by the inner hole (2a) of the tubular member (2).
