The invention relates to a method for production of avian cell lines, comprising a progressive or total separation of growth factors, from the serum and/or from the feeder layer such that the lines established are adherent or non-adherent cells capable of indefinite proliferation in a base culture medium. The invention further relates to cells derived from said lines which are particularly of use in production of useful substances.

La presente invention se rapporte a un procede d'obtention de lignees cellulaires aviaires, comprenant un sevrage progressif ou total des facteurs croissance, du serum et/ou du tapis nourricier de sorte que les lignees etablies sont des cellules adherentes ou non-adherentes capables de proliferer indefiniment dans un milieu de culture de base. L'invention porte aussi sur les cellules derivant de telles lignees qui sont particulierement utiles pour la production de substances d'interet.
