More specifically, relates to novel nucleic acid molecules isolated from the chicken, and Mago proteins encoded by the isolated nucleic acids. the present invention is also directed to nucleic acid probes for hybridization to the chicken mago nashi nucleic acid sequence, methods of expression thereof and methods to detect the mago nashi related nucleic acid sequences and the Mago protein products thereof.
