ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A roller drill bit comprises a fixed bit member including a shaft journal and a hollow roller with cutting members thereon rotatably supported on the journal. A radial roller bearing unit supports a wide end of the roller and a bush supports the narrow end thereof. Two diamonds are mounted at the bottom of the bore of the roller and in an end surface of the journal and are arranged for sliding contact against one another. At least one of the diamonds has a spherical surface arranged to contact the other diamond.
