The present invention pertains to the field of internal combustion engines and relates to an axial rotary engine comprising a body (1) that has an undulated annular channel (10) for the working body provided therein, and in which a rotor (5) is mounted so that its peripheral portion is located in said channel (10). The peripheral portion of the rotor (5) comprises slots in which mobile vanes (8) are mounted so as to be capable of displacement along the undulated channel (10) upon the rotation of the rotor (5). The vanes (8) are made in the shape of flattened cylinders comprising diametrically opposed tangential grooves (16), and include disk-shaped end portions arranged on both sides of said grooves (16). The grooves located around the disk-shaped portions include sealing members (17) mounted so as to be capable of displacement about the perimeter of said disk-shaped portions. The slots of the rotor (5) have a shape corresponding to the section of the vanes (8) in a diametrical plane which is perpendicular to the direction of the tangential grooves (16). Due to the round shape of the disk-shaped portions of the vanes (8), the sealing members (17) are capable of rotation in the grooves of said disk-shaped portions when the vanes (8) apply a pressure along the channel (10), which results in a uniform wear of said members as well as in a more reliable operation of the engine.

Cette invention se rapporte aux moteurs à combustion interne, et concerne un moteur axial rotatif comprenant un corps (1) dans lequel se trouve un canal annulaire ondulé (10) pour le corps de travail, et dans lequel est monté un rotor (5) dont la partie périphérique se trouve dans ledit canal (10). La partie périphérique du rotor (5) comporte des fentes dans lesquelles sont montées des pales mobiles (8) qui, lors de la rotation du rotor (5), se déplacent le long du canal ondulé (10). Les pales (8) sont en forme de cylindres aplatis comportant des gorges tangentielles (16) diamétralement opposées, et possèdent des parties d'extrémité en forme de disque qui sont disposées des deux côtés des gorges (16). Les gorges situées autour des parties en forme de disque comportent des éléments d'étanchéité (17) qui sont montés de manière à pouvoir se déplacer sur le périmètre desdites parties en forme de disque. Les fentes du rotor (5) ont une forme correspondant à la section des pales (8) dans un plan diamétral qui est perpendiculaire à l'orientation des gorges tangentielles (16). Grâce à la forme ronde des parties en forme de disque des pales (8), les éléments d'étanchéité (17) peuvent tourner dans les gorges des parties en forme de disque lorsque lesdites pales (8) exercent une pression le long du canal (10), ce qui entraîne une usure uniforme desdits éléments ainsi qu'une plus grande fiabilité de fonctionnement du moteur.
