Wahl FOR: STEERING AXLE ASSEMBLY PROVIDING IMPROVED LATERAL STABILITY A B S T R A C T An axle assembly is provided for a load lifting vehicle, the assembly including a main frame, a vertical central plane, and a secondary frame extending transversely to the main frame. A first support frame is fixedly attached to the secondary frame and carries a first pivot means. A second support frame is fixedly attached to the main frame and carries a second pivot means, the first and second pivot means being oppositely disposed about the central plane.
