The following invention describes a compact, lightweight, economical means of attaching chain drive sprocket hubs securely to half axles assembly rotatable along a transverse axle rotation axis, found in all-terrain-vehicles or the like. The assembly comprises a half axle and sprocket hub each having a cross-hole corresponding in size and aligned with each other. The cross-hole in the half axle is threaded and a bolt passes through both the cross-hole in sprocket hub and the threaded cross-hole of the half axle. Axle/flange bearings are located on either side of the chain drive sprocket hub and the inner end of the half axle is threaded to accommodate a bolt.
La présente invention décrit un dispositif compact, léger et économique pour monter solidement des moyeux de pignon d'entraînement par chaîne sur des demi-essieux qui tournent autour d'un axe de rotation transversal, comme ceux que l'on retrouve sur les véhicules tout-terrain ou l'équivalent. L'ensemble comprend un demi-essieu et un moyeu de pignon, chacun comportant un trou transversal dont les dimensions correspondent l'un à l'autre; les deux sont alignés entre eux. Le trou transversal du demi-essieu est fileté et un boulon traverse à la fois le trou transversal du moyeu de pignon et celui fileté du demi-essieu. Des roulements d'essieu/de flasque sont placés de chaque côté du moyeu du pignon d'entraînement et l'extrémité intérieure du demi- essieu est fileté afin de recevoir un boulon.
