ABSTRACT A paper roll holder for a paper roll having a cylin- drical core. The holder comprises a frame made from two angulated strap members hinged together at one end. The other ends of the strap members overlap and lock together when the frame members are closed about the hinge to form a quadrangular shape. Cylindrical friction members are non-rotatably mounted on that side of the frame having the overlapped ends to frictionally mount the paper roll thereon.
