Abstract of the Disclosure The present invention relates to monoazo com- pounds of formula I, Image I in which R1 signifies a chlorine or bromine atom, a nitro, (C1-4)alkylsulphonyl, phenylsulphonyl, (C1-4)alkylcar- bonyl or benzoyl radical, each of R2 and R3, independently, signifies a hydro- gen, chlorine or bromine atom, with the proviso that at least one of R2 and R3 signifies a hydrogen atom, each of R4 and R5, independently, signifies a (C1-4) alkyl radical or a phenyl substitu- ted (C1-2)alkyl radical in which the phenyl nucleus is substituted - 2 - or unsubstituted, with the proviso that at least one of R4 and R5 signifies a phenyl-substituted alkyl radical in which the phenyl nucleus is optionally substituted and R6 signifies a (C1-4)alkyl, (C1-4)- alkoxy(C1-4)alkyl or an unsubsti- tuted or substituted phenyl radical. The compounds of formula I are useful as disperse dyes.
