Abstract of the Disclosure The present invention relates to compounds of formula I, Image I in which R1 is a group of formula -CH2CH2OH, -CH2CHOHCH2OH, -CH2COCH3, -CH2COC6H5, -CH2COC6H4Br or -NR8R9, R2 is halogen, one of R3 and R? is hydrogen and the other is hydro- gen or halogen, R4 is hydrogen, chloro, bromo, methyl, methoxy or ethoxy, R5 is chloro, bromo, cyano, acylamino, methyl, methoxy or ethoxy, with the proviso that, when R5 is methyl, methoxy or ethoxy, R1 is other than -NR8R9, R6 is (C1-4)alkyl or (C2-4)alkenyl, R7 is (C1-4)alkyl, (C2-4)alkenyl or phenyl(C1-2 alkyl, R8 is hydroxy (C2-3)alkyl, and R9 is hydrogen, (C1-4)alkyl, hydroxy(C2-3)alkyl or cyano(C1-2)alkyl, with the proviso that the molecule is free from Image and Image groups, which compounds are useful as disperse dyes.
