The colloidal silica binder is provided at 5 wt % to 20 wt % of the dry weight of the first set of components. The refractory composition includes 45 wt % to 75 wt % alumina, 15 wt % to 30 wt % zirconia, and 10 wt % to 30 wt % silica.
