ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: This invention is concerned with aminoethyl silanes having the general formula Image and aminoethyl siloxanes with the recurring structural units Image in which R' represents an aliphatic, saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon group having from 1 to 10 carbon atoms, R" represents an alkyl or alkyloxyalkyl radical or a phenyl radical, a = 0 or 1 and x = 0, 1 or 2, with the proviso that R" cannot represent ethyl when a is 0 and x is 2. The compounds of the invention are suitable for use as additives to sizes for glassfiber impregnations or for incorporation into duroplastic resins to obtain improved adhesion between the resins and inorganic oxidic materials.
