Abstract Of The Present Invention A bootie to be worn on a baby's foot is fashioned from a single piece of material. The body of material includes a substantially oval-shaped upper section, a substantially barrel-shaped center section, a substantially bulbous lower section and a substantially rectangular shaped section disposed between the barrel-shaped section an-l the oval-shaped section. The rectangular section is wider than the barrel section, thereby forming a pair of ears along its lower surface. A bootie shape may be formed by appropriately folding and sewing the body. An elastic band is sewn in a stretched condition to the portion of the bootie wrapping about the baby's ankle such that the elastic band also extends about the ankle. The male member and the female member of a snap fit fastener are attached respectively to opposite ends of the elastic band so that the bootie can be secured about the baby's ankle.
