ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE This invention relates to a baby or child chair which can be used in a car as well as indoors. The chair comprises a chair body having a seat and back rest portion and a main support leg means for supporting the body. This means comprises a member which is pivotally coupled to the seat portion and which is supported in a lateral position substantially below the underside surface of the seat. Means is provided to hold the member in a raised portion when the member is located behind the back rest portion of the chair. This construction allows the chair to be used as a stationary chair, a rocking chair or as a car seat and provides a simple construction which is easy to operate and has improved safety features when used in a car or other vehicle.
